At its regular meeting on January 21, 2010, the Prattville Planning Commission considered and adopted an update to the city’s Comprehensive Development Plan. The result of a twelve month public process known as Project Prattville: The Next Chapter, the plan will guide private and public development in our community into the next decade. The adopted plan may be viewed or downloaded here. Print copies will be available for purchase in the Prattville Planning Department following consideration by the Prattville City Council.

The Planning Commission’s approval came after considering all comments received during the public review and comment period that began on October 15, 2009 and culminated with a public hearing on December 8, 2009. A listing of the comments received and the Planning Commission response to each are available here. Minutes from the December 8 Commission hearing and the January 21 Commission meeting are available here. (The January 21st minutes will be available as soon as they are approved in the upcoming Planning Commission meeting.)

The Planning Commission has forwarded the plan to the City Council for consideration and adoption. A schedule for Council consideration has not been determined at this time. Please check this page or www.prattvilleal.gov frequently for updates.
